Caterpillar Wuxi R & D center will be LEED Gold certification
Wuxi, China – Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) today announced that the company’s multi-functional research and development (R & D) center in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, was awarded Gold certification for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design in the new category (LEED-NC).
The Wuxi R & D Center, a full Caterpillar subsidiary, is the headquarters and main branch of Caterpillar R & D Center (China) Ltd. to meet the growing operations in China and the Asia Pacific region, the new 10,000 square meter, state – of-the-art facility was built in Wuxi New District in 2009, with a strong focus on environmental impact and energy-efficient design. Caterpillar puts his ‘Southern Strategy’
Caterpillar Inc. will roll out a “southern strategy” with the announcement of a new plant in Texas, the Wall Street Journal Friday.The report said plans for a Cat 120 million U.S. dollars plant to excavating machines in Victoria, Texas. Caterpillar Inc “concerned” about Australian Mining Tax
Caterpillar Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of construction equipment, said the proposed 40 percent tax on profits of Australian mining operations, the company’s sales in the country hurt. “Together with our dealers and customers in the region, we are concerned about the potential impact of the proposed change in tax policy will have on the production of mining equipment and our sales in Australia,” Caterpillar spokeswoman Kate Kenny said.
