Caterpillar Ranks 64th Among 100 of the World’s Top Brands

Caterpillar is ranked 64th in the world’s Top 100 Brands with a value of $ 5.5 billion. Every year, Interbrand ranks companies by the amount of their income that is driven by their brands, using a formula that takes into account the brand strength and its future role in creating demand. The result, in fact, the share of profits that is attributable to the brand relative to factors such as price, availability and performance. New law to encourage investment in mining in India: Caterpillar

Foreign investment in the mining sector will boom once the bill Indias on the sector is passed by parliament, the major infrastructure Caterpillar Asia said at a conference here today. Peoria-based heavy machinery maker Caterpillar Inc. said it plans to expand remanufacturing facility in West Fargo, North Dakota to the growing demand for power train components for large off-highway trucks and other mining to meet.

The maker of equipment used in mining and construction said that the $ 50 million investment to create capacity for high-tech machining, metal additive processes and metallurgical lab to increase. Read more
