There was a burst of buying new space resources, after a better than expected employment report from the United States, and after the Bank of Canada opted to keep interest rates unchanged at a record low of 0.25 percent. Once all transactions must be done, the TSX Venture Exchange, home to junior exploration companies than anywhere else in the world, gained 1.76 per cent, while the TSX Gold Index was added 3.73 percent.
