Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are the last to close. South Africa’s FTSE / JSE Africa All Share Index rose for the third time in four days, the promotion of 19.86, or 0.1 percent, to 27,349.61 at the close in Johannesburg. Gold Fields Ltd. (GFI SJ): A miner was slain in an accident at Gold Fields is my Three Fountain, the National Union of Mineworkers said in an e-mailed statement. The stock of Gold Fields, the second largest producer in Africa of the metal was unchanged at 96 Rand. Read more

australia mineAustralian S & P / ASX 200 index fell 1.5 percent to 4355.70 from 10:41 in Sydney. New Zealand NZX-50 index fell 0.6 percent to 2966.92 in Wellington. The following were among the most active shares in the market today. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names.

El Morro Copper Gold Project Completely Purchased by New Gold Inc

The El Morro project located in the center of a huge legal dispute, but New Gold Inc. went ahead and bought it anyway.

Yesterday, the Vancouver-based miner said it closed a transaction to 70% of El Morro, a copper-gold deposit in Chile, buy Xstrata PLC for U.S. $ 463-million. The game then transferred to Goldcorp Inc., which plans to team with New Gold to develop the project. (more…)

IPO value Groupon on up to 25 billion U.S. dollars: report

Daily deals website Groupon could be valued at as much as $ 25 billion in an initial public offering, taking two people with knowledge of the discussions of the company with the banks.

The multi-billion dollar valuation is the latest in a series of high valuations for hot Internet companies, including Facebook and Twitter, and raises questions about which companies will ultimately survive. (more…)
