Iranian nuclear step intended to ward off action: Israel

iran nuclearIsraeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak said on Thursday Iran’s announcement of new nuclear achievements was exaggerated and meant to ward against the Islamic republic. “They have a situation that better and more advanced than those they describe in order to create a feeling among all players that the point of no return has already done, what is not,” Barak told Israel Radio. Iran on Wednesday voted to developments in the nuclear know-how, including new centrifuges able to enrich uranium much faster, a move that the confrontation with the West over suspicions it is seeking the means to atomic bombs to be increasing.

Barak said that these notices were intended to get an impression that all actions of world powers to Iran’s nuclear program counter would create too late. Iran says it is enriching uranium for peaceful purposes.

The tension between Iran and the West over its nuclear work Iran has mounted since november, when the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency said Tehran appeared to have worked on designing a nuclear weapon.

Israel, widely believed that the Middle East the only nuclear power, has said that a nuclear armed Iran would pose a threat to its existence. Both Washington and Israel have not ruled out military action to stop Tehran developing nuclear bombs.

“They are definitely making progress, but to anyone dealing with them, deter, or even this seems unnecessary, they boast performance that do not exist,” said Barak.

The United States, announced Wednesday that the Iranian nuclear progress of the name “is not very new and not very impressive,” and the European Union have imposed stiffer penalties in recent weeks both the Iranian oil exports and

international financial transactions with Tehran.

Israel has called for tougher sanctions.
