COASTAL BEND – Gas prices in Corpus Christi fell six cents overnight to 2.59 dollars a gallon after reaching the $ 2.65 mark, the highest in recent months. The least expensive gas in the area Monday was $ 2.44 in Aransas Pass, followed by $ 2.48 in Portland and Ingleside. Corpus Christi has the lowest $ 2.49 at the Valero store to Staples and Leopard streets.
Including the change in gas prices in the past week, prices were 12.5 cents per gallon yesterday, higher than the same day one year ago and 5.7 cents per liter higher than one month ago. The national average rose 2.2 cents per gallon in recent months and is 12.7 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
