JOHANNESBURG – Kumba Iron Ore (KIOJ.J) said on Monday had Imperial Crown Trading bid to start prospecting for iron ore at its Sishen mine following a row over places in South Africa of the prospecting rights to Imperial rejected. Kumba, a unit of mining giant Anglo American Plc (AAL.L) and the world’s 10th largest producer of iron ore, has applied for a review of the court granting prospecting rights to 21.4 percent by the Imperial Crown Trading Mining Division in the biggest economy in Africa.
A spokesman said the company Kumba only a trial judge to drop as South Africa Department of Mining reverses its decision to award Imperial Crown Trading (ICT) and mining rights or mining rights to know the Sishen mine.
“Kumba remains confident of its chances of success in these applications, a Kumba spokesperson told Reuters.

21.4 percent of Kumba’s Sishen mine in mining was previously owned by Arcelor Mittal South Africa (ACLJ.J).
The law of the unity of the global steel maker of iron ore from Kumba receive a discount, but Kumba said ArcelorMittal South Africa had failed to extend the mining rights.
